Helsinki to Stockholm Overnight Cruise

Tallink Silja Line Helsinki to Stockholm Cruise

We booked our overnight cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm through the Tallink Silja Line. The ship we were on was called the Silja Symphony and it was a huge and beautiful ship. There were men on stilts in the main stretch of the ship that loved to follow me around. There were a few different restaurants and a buffet. There were many different duty free shops selling clothing, alcohol and food. There was a casino to gamble, a game room and a nightclub upstairs.

We opted for a c-class cabin for the night. It’s their least expensive rooms and they’re at the very bottom of the ship. Yes, under the water and even under where they keep vehicles. You can imagine I was slightly terrified by this. But the room was perfect, there was a twin sized bed and then a twin sized bunk bed that folded up to the wall when not in use. The bathroom was small but had a toilet and a shower. There were no windows so it was so dark in the room while we slept, it was amazing.

For our dinner and breakfast the next morning, we decided to make a reservation at the buffet. The buffet was pretty impressive and had a wide variety of food. We had no problem filling up on meat-free options.

After dinner, we watched the most amazing sunset. We then went up to the "nightclub" on the top deck and watched people sing karaoke for a couple minutes. Finally, we had a few elevator races in the glass elevators and then called it a night.

The total cost of the trip including the c-class cabin, two dinner buffets and two breakfast buffets adds up to 245 euros. We managed to get a 20% discount because we entered in our Eurail card numbers at checkout.
