Preah Khan was the first temple we visited and also our agreed upon favorite. We choose to see this temple because our guidebook said that the temple had been overgrown with trees, which was what I was most excited to see. Something about the old ruins being taken over by nature fascinates me.
We spent about an hour wandering through Preah Khan. Unlike the Angkor Wat Temple, there are no signs telling you which way to go, so we meandered through the ruins. This temple hasn’t been restored as much as some of the other temples, so there are many dead ends and rubble to climb over. We loved this! Preah Khan was not very crowded, and a lot of the time, we explored on our own.
