Oh my! This place was amazing! The restaurant is not much from the outside, so it’s easy to miss. It’s set up like a buffet, with a few different lunch options per day, all of which are vegan. When we went, the two main courses were risotto and seitan soup. We decided on the seitan soup and it was delicious and warmed us up! Our meal also came with salad, homemade bread and a cup of tea.
If you do one thing in Helsinki, make it a trip to Suomenlinna. I may be slightly biased because I love exploring more than just about anything, but seriously, go to Suomenlinna!
Tallinn made the perfect day trip from Helsinki and opened my eyes to a place that was completely different to anywhere I had ever been. Tallinn is incredibly picturesque and reminiscent of a fairy tale. We spent most of our time in the Old Town, where you’ll see cobblestone streets, colorful buildings and stunning churches. I felt like we had gone back in time to a thriving medieval city.
We booked our overnight cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm through the Tallink Silja Line. The ship we were on was called the Silja Symphony and it was a huge and beautiful ship. There were men on stilts in the main stretch of the ship that loved to follow me around. There were a few different restaurants and a buffet. There were many different duty free shops selling clothing, alcohol and food. There was a casino to gamble, a game room and a nightclub upstairs.
